A break from the norm
Comments:
We bought this to add a sense of security where we had replaced our standard bathroom door with a bi-fold for space efficiency. Having given up the standard door's knob and latch, we wanted bathroom occupants to at least be able to secure the door with a hook-and-eye, but didn't want anything so flimsy or cheap-looking as a typical screen-door set. This product is actually a little more substantial than I had envisioned for a room as small as this one, but it certainly does the job. And yes, one feels very secure when the door is latched. Even though it's just a bit massive for the room it's in, I like the design features a lot. It's got that old-world substance I was looking for and its construction is excellent; no burrs or tightness in the hinges, it swings free and easy as it should. I'm glad I made the choice.
A real solution to a swinging door that won't stop!
Comments:
We have a swinging door between the kitchen and dining room. It swings both directions. The hook solved the problem. We like to keep it open.
Great buy

Nice and streamlined. Good look for our more refined bathroom barn door.
Hook and eye lock

Super thick. Very heavy duty. Polished very well
Is very period appropriate (my house was built in 1900).
Comments:
Older homes do not have door locks on bathroom doors. Needed this to address that issue.
