Added nice details to an otherwise utilitarian item. Mounting screws are small and delicate - pilot holes are a good idea to prevent stripping out the heads.

We used two of these on our Craftsman Style solid wood front door. We wanted a triple locking system in order to help keep the door from warping. The locks complement our main door handle well. They look as if they were designed specifically for our door and also as if the door has been there for 85 years!! Love! Thank You.

I was very impressed with this piece. I thought that because it was cast iron it would be all rough and primitive...but it isn't. I used it on a refinished antique door that I mounted to cover some air ducts in a closet. I coupled it with the Victorian handle and together they are beautiful. It slide smoothly and looks great.

This is a really authentic looking bolt, you can't tell it's repro versus my antique hardware. And it's chunky and makes me feel really secure, but is beautiful at the same time. A very nice item.
