Description

These large and finely detailed scallop design shutter dogs are ideal for coastal homes. Made of heavy duty cast iron, they're finished with a rust resistant black powder coat. Easily mounted to masonry with the included lag bolt (anchors recommended - not included).

Dimensions. Dimensions. Tie back: 5 1/4" H x 2 5/8" W x 1 1/2" projection (at top). Bolt: 4 1/2" L x 3/8".

For best performance and to prevent rust, iron and steel hardware should be regularly maintained. After installation check for scratches or chips in the surface and re-coat periodically as needed.

Nice shutter dogs add nautical touch

Comments:

We bought these shutter dogs to add a nautical touch to the outside of our Florida beach cottage. We installed them over our wood shutters for decoration only, not to actually use. You do need to make sure you have proper bolts and drill bit to go into concrete if that is what your house is made of. We were only able to find bright blue concrete screws so we used them and just painted the heads flat black with rustoleum paint to blend with the other hardware. We love the way they look!

Really great hardware.

After the last hurricane we decided our 100-year old Florida house really needed shutters. We wanted everything to look authentic so we bought all of our hardware for the shutters from House of Antique Hardware. We have been extremely impressed with the quality, appearance and workmanship.
