A nice product at a fair price

Comments:

This is a well made pulley at a fair price. The outer dimensions are quite accurate (for fitting into the mortise). It included good quality brass screws that had a matching patina. I used it with a #25 sash chain and it fit perfectly. #25 is the largest chain you can run with this pulley. The only downside (which isn't too bad at all), is that you cannot disassemble the pulley to grease the axle/bushing. For the price, I can accept that.

Adds a nice touch to the room.

Comments:

The pulleys look great and are nice and sturdy. These replaced smaller press-fit pulleys, so I had to chisel out a longer recess. In order to get an exact cut, I recommend tracing the pulley with a razor blade, not a pen or pencil, and then cutting with a 3/4"" chisel. Avoid using a 1"" chisel, as the chisel may be a hair wider than your pulley face plate. Downside is the cost. I bought 8 to replace the pulleys in one room, and would like to buy another 30 to replace all the pulleys in our house, but can't afford that at this price.

Brass Sash pulleys

Comments:

Standard Flathead scews for installation set you up for marring the finish and the window jamb. NO GRIP! What a difference No. 2 philliips screws would have made!

Cast Brass Sash Pulley

Comments:

I have used these sashes in several historic beach homes. They replaced some black iron sashes. There was not much of the metal left on the old sashes. The sash was perfect for my mother's 105 year old beach house. The brass holds up very well to the corrosive salt enviroment.

Durable, high-quality product

Comments:

The product is superior to other pulleys on the market.

excellent product, customer service

Comments:

Again excellent product (window pulley), glad I can still find them!! Very quick delivery.

Good but not Perfect

Comments:

I just installed four of these sash pulley in some 112 year old windows I am fixing (the original pulleys were steel press-ins that had been painted into immobility). These are heavy and solid feeling, and the operation of the wheel feels smooth. It was not difficult but rather tedious to chisel out the hole for them to fit into. I suppose people with more wood-working know-how and a router would've gone that route and been done much quicker. My main complaint is that the face of the pulley housing - the part you see - was not perfectly flat in any of the four I installed. All of them were slightly but noticeably bowed or off square in some way. This was frustrating, as they are supposed to fit totally flush in the window frame, and they don't, exactly.

Great price and value

Renovating a 1880's shingle house with large heavy windows. These pulleys , with brass chain , brass locks, pulls and bronze weatherstripping looks and operates great. Good product and good company

Great quality with an accurate description

Comments:

Replacing the missing sash pulleys in our old house. It takes some time to find all the replacement parts for the windows. These sash pulleys worked well in our existing windows with just a little bit of chisel work. Found weights that worked at a salvage place.

I would recomend this product.

Comments:

I am using this product on an antique bell to replace old rusted components.
