This superior safety outlet uses patented Smartlock technology to lock the reset button if the GFCI protection has been compromised. These outlets are also self-testing as mandated by the federal government. Rated for 15A and 125V at the receptacle with a 20AMP feed-through. This is a push-in type receptacle, side wired with a grounding screw. UL Listed and CSA Certified.

Hardware Tip
GFCI stands for Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter and is a receptacle which detects current leakage to ground and then interrupts the power flow.

Gfi plugs arrived quickly they will look great with covers

Not exciting but the right color

As the title of this review say - not the most exciting or exotic product - but available in an array of colors not stocked by the big box stores or even my excellent independent hardware store that caters to owners of old homes.
Not what I was expecting

This appeared matte in the picture on the website, but when it arrived it was very shiny. I called to see if I could order a more matte plate, as was featured on the website and was told that what I received was the only choice. I said that the picture didn't match what I received, but he didn't seem too concerned.
