Great for Picture Rail in our 1920's Foursquare

Comments:

We really liked the design of this hook for our 1920's Foursquare dining room. It was our first experience hanging items from a picture rail and this is a whole lot more attractive and secure than the hardware store options!

If you have picture rails and plaster walls these are great!

Comments:

Works great in our home

Looks great and is shallow enough to fit our picture rails.

Comments:

We have picture rails too close to the ceiling, so most picture hooks are too robust to fit in the narrow clearance. This hook is fantastic because it's beautiful while being shallow enough to fit our rail.

The BEST way to hang an picture-PERIOD--!

Hey Ho! Readers. Give Ear if you HATE holes in the wall from nails to hang a bit of art. Here is the Cure, with a sample story of WHY & HOW. This writer is redoing the interior of a mid 19th Century House that was last decorated in the the ""Frank Lloyd Wrong"" School of Poor Taste. I will spare the reader the details. Thus in my East Parlor {now the Living Room of 2021} I bought $$$ reproduction 1840 wall paper to hang on the walls. In NO WAY do I want to pound nails into that! So when re doing this room, I spent the kopecks for some good and fancy ceiling moldings that extend a bit away from the wall. In the photo you see, the ceiling molding covers the cut edge of the ceiling tiles and nicely 'goes with' and finishes off, the wall paper. Now, at last, to the Product. With this style of molding, this hanger just sits on the upper edge of the molding. Then the Art or- is hung from the special wire/fabrick picture wire that is sold here; the covered cord is affixed to the frame, and the loop fits over the Hanger. Simple and done. And its easy to move. Does it hold? I have a huge, framed bit of needle point from my Grand Mother. The whole weights an easy 10 lbs. And I use one of these hangers for that- so, yes, it holds. BUT, be sure that the molding is secured well to the wall; otherwise the heavier art in frame MAY pull the molding off the wall! This is the Perfect solution to the Question-'how do I hang a bit of art without a flock of holes in the wall""? This is quite handy if you live in a rental unit- it will make your landlord a happy bloke indeed. So have a look at the use I put this last hook to. For the Curious; this is a fax-simile of an 1816 lithography of the U.S.A. Declaration of Independence; the figures in the circles are a representation of the Seals of the then 13 USA Colonies. NOW_ go buy thee one!

Great for Large Sized Picture Frame Molding

Comments:

We needed a large hook for a larger sized picture frame molding. Standard sized hooks were too small. Nice design and fits perfectly!
