Generally, when I am commissioned to build a piece, it is for high end, intricate furniture. These reproductions generally require me to use custom hardware, made by a local smith. I purchased these hinges for a country piece (a pie safe) expecting them to be ""adequate."" Much to my surprise, the quality of manufacture and finish was exemplary. Because of this, I have actually ordered a smaller set for another project and fully plan to save money for any client for whom these are appropriate. In short, these hinges have, excuse the expression, opened a door to new possibilities.

Use for a wooden door to a bedroom in a lake cabin. Matched existing hardware on other doors perfectly.

These hinges are great for the look we wanted. Rustic, but by now means cheap. We love them, especially with the handles we bought.
