Description
The bell & mounting plate together measure 4 7/8" tall x 3 5/8" wide. The exterior turn piece measures 2 7/8" tall x 1 5/8" wide. This door bell fits doors up to 2 1/4" in thickness. Spindle may be cut to desired length.

I'm very glad to own it yet the simple installations took my bicycle mechanic husband to figure out it had difficulties at first due to a backward company assembled cog gear. But the ring is wonderful and heard throughout our 1 1/2 storey home from every corner. It's a gorgeous welcoming treat for those who visit too. LT

The antique brass finish was a little darker than expected. Rings loud and clear. Easy installation - idiot proof! It was a gift to son and daughter-in-law. They are thrilled. Their old lever-handle door bell had a ""puny"" ring. The new one scared them at first!
Front door charm

Own a cute little house built in 1901 in Key West and this twist door bell is perfect for the front door. Can't wait to install it!
High quality, Great performance

Purchased as a gift. Recipient loves it, as do their 4 grandchildren, ages 4 to 10, who keep it ringing - it certinly passed the durability test.
Looks Cool, but hardware leaves much to be desired

When installing this doorbell, three of the four screws broke off in the door even with large starter holes. With the screws stuck in the door frame, I had to file them down, fill up the holes with wood puddy, sand and paint. A 30 minute project lasted 3 days. I had to re-drill in another less desirable location. Off to the hardware to buy similar screws and installed in less than 30 minutes. It wouldn't hurt the manufacturer of this item to supply a better grade of wood screw. The look good but fall apart with the slightest of tourque. If you buy this doorbell, buy your own set of wood screws even without the antique finish.

The product was sized only for a 3 1/2 inch thick door....had to modify the product via weld of an extender to accommodate the 7 inch thich wall.....successfully accomplished.

Pretty Outside, Junk Inside

Cheap, cheap, cheap. After a few months the clapper fell out. Was able to buy a couple more rings by welding it back on. Thanks for the hole in my door. If you buy this, make sure you buy a door knocker too.
