Description

If you have an open back mail slot but want more privacy, this handsome brass hood will do the trick. It's large enough to fit over smaller mail slot trim, or it can stand alone. Works on the exterior as well. Offered in 9 great finishes to go with any decor (mail slot sold separately).

Dimensions: 12 7/8" W x 3 5/8" H.
Horizontal C-C of screw holes is 12".
Vertical C-C of screw holes is 2 1/2".

Excellent Quality Well Worth the Price

I just love the finished look this hood gives to the inside of my front door. It provides security, eliminates the need for a pesky sleeve (they never fit flush enough to keep mail from getting snagged), and matches all my other satin nickel door hardware. What a brilliant solution!

Looks great but functionality is so-so.

Comments:

This mail slot hood looks great and the brass is high quality. The downside is that larger mailings tend to get stuck if the mail carrier does not push the mail all the way through the mail slot. If you need privacy, I would recommend it but don't be surprised to come home one day and see your mail sticking out of your mail slot.
