Large Victorian Solid-Brass Doorbell Button

I purchased a ""door bell button and plate"" to replace the current one that did not work properly. The product was received in very good condition and was installed by myself in less than 30 minutes. It goes very nicely with our brick home and looks good and best of all, works properly when pressed!!

The doorbell looks perfect on our 100+ year old home. Easy to install and works well.

As sent the unit didn't work. I had to completely take it apart finding it was loaded with oil. There was so much oil on the disk inside the switch that it was corroded and didn't make contact. I had to completely clean it and polish the disk so the unit would work. I wouldn't expect someone who doesn't have my experience to know what to do. I immediately contacted customer service and they completely ignored me. Shame since I order from these people all the time and for the most part, aside from long delays, the actual product is nice

Had the doorbell not burnt out (only one of the receptors is getting power) after 90days, this would have been a five star review. Beautiful but non-functional. I have requested a replacement, we'll see how that goes.

It took me 30 years to ""gift"" myself a good looking doorbell. My house was built in 1880 and the style I chose fits the architecture perfectly.
