Needed a new flag holder because the original one split open from the wind. It must have been made of resin or plastic. After numerous searches I found a cast iron one on your site, ordered it, installed it and it held up fine until the first windy day. The holder was fine but the wind pulled the entire holder out of the wall post. The post must be made of particle board. I did use wall anchors bur the anchors pulled out also. The holder was fine after a windy day. The pole was still in the holder, it fits tightly which I think is good. I will try again with the same flag holder from you but will anchor a 2x4 onto the post first and then install the holder onto the 2x4. I may have to anchor the 2x4 thru the post with lag bolts.

I needed a stronger flag pole holder since strong wind had broken the plastic holder that I had use before. The 1"" Diameter Cast Iron Flag Pole Holder has worked very well in strong winds since I have installed the new holder.
