""Friends"" reproduction doorbell
Comments:
I was thrilled to find this doorbell for my Friends themed hallway. It's pricey so I only bought one at first. I'm so happy to see it back in stock and can't wait to purchase another to complete my authentic look. I used heavy duty double tape to install/adhere just the one side. And it rings just from the movement when we open and close the door. It is so special to have this REAL door bell instead of the small plastic printed ones.
Absolutely perfect replica

Beautiful finish and delightful ringing sound

My front porch goes across the whole front of the house. There are shutter dogs holding up the gray shutters. It's an old fashion looking house that needed an old fashion looking doorbell!
Beautiful hand turn doorbell for This 1828 House
Comments:
Beautiful look, and being a pro musician, it has a very beautiful bell tone. Regarding installation, it probably can be installed by an ""Average DIY"" but it's always a good idea to 'dry-fit' and mark with pencil / be careful about planning the right spot overall & where to drill holes, holding drill bit level and leaving room enough for the overall size of this unit, Watch the clearance to the edge of the door and the door handle. It could go in the middle of a door but I opted to go near the handle.

Bell works great!!!!
Expensive and doesn't work well

I replaced an existing bell of the same type. The new one looked nicer, but didn't have the volume of the old one and is practically useless. I even bought a second one hoping the first one was just defective. It was the same.
Fantastic Piece
Comments:
This is a fantastic piece of hardware. Very quick and easy to install. My only complaint is that it's not quite loud enough for our home. Without any background noise, it's very audible, but with music, a tv or even conversation going on, it can be hard to hear the bell. There have been a number of times that my wife and I have looked at each other and said, ""Was that the front door?"" However, given what the product is, it's pretty well expected. I would be impressed if it was louder and although not as loud as I'd like, I'm satisfied with how loud it is.
Finally a doorbell that doesn't need batteries or replacemen
Comments:
I don't think I got the hole through the door exactly perpendicular to the ground so it seems to be a little tighter at one part of turning it. I stripped 2 inside screws for some reason. Maybe I was hitting an outer screw because it wanted to stop turning. The inner bells screw holes had to be set on an angle so that it would center on the door... that wasn't a problem but I had to figure that out.
Finishing touch to 19th century entry door
Comments:
When we purchased our 1839 Lamont on the Grand summer home front entry door had plugged hole in center of door. Research disclosed hole in door was for door bell. At loss to find correct replacement bell until we discovered HOUSE OF ANTIQUE HARDWARE. HOME WILL BE ON 2018 LAMONT ON THE GRAND HISTORIC HOME TOUR.
Great mechanical bell!
