Good back plate
Comments:
This is a very nice plate. However, the screw holes are not properly countersunk for flat head screws.
Great addition to my 1920's home
Comments:
My home is a 1920 Hollywood Hills classic Spanish Colonial and the previous owner had used cheap ornate brass/ bronze look back plates but had beautiful vintage door knobs with a base of polished nickel. The doors at one point had normal door hardware so the hole was 2.25 in width. That became a problem in finding a back plate that would cover the hole, but luckily HAH had them and they matched the door knob and added the simple elegant look that was needed.. Thank you
Nickel
Comments:
Lovely nickel plated finish. Strong even thought it's stamped an not forged. Pretty in restoration or modernish home. Prices are quite reasonable.
Solid. Beautiful. Only complaint is screws are a bit tough!
Comments:
Need screws that can dig into wood better smoother quicker. But otherwise it's great!
