Forged Brass New York Privacy Back Plate with Thumb Turn

Designed for use on the interior side of a door, it includes a crescent thumb turn to activate the privacy mortise lock from the inside the room. While the originals were typically made of stamped brass or copper, this heavy-duty reproduction is forged from solid brass. Choose from five classic finishes.

Dimensions: 8" H x 2 1/2" W. Inside collar diameter: 21/32". Center to center spacing from thumbturn to knob collar: 2 1/4". Thumbturn spindle: 3/16"; oriented on the diamond.

How do I know what door knobs will work with a particular rosette or door plate? The knob shank diameter should be a little less than the inside collar diameter on the rosette.
