When needed, the shutters are easily lifted off by hand without removing the hardware. Made of raw, cast iron, they must be primed and painted to prevent rusting. The set includes two right-hand hinges, two left-hand hinges and two sill-mounted fasteners - enough to complete one window. Screws are not included.
