Description
This set is designed to be mounted on the inside of wood screen doors which open outward, 1" - 1 3/8" in thickness. For thinner doors, simply trim the spindle to the desired length. Included spindle: 3" L x 5/16" x 16TPI.
Dimensions: Exterior backplate - 2 1/4" H x 1" W. Interior lock body - 2 1/4" H x 1 15/16" W. Backset: 1 7/16". Knobs - 1 1/4" diameter x 1 5/8" projection (including lock body).

Over priced, poor functionality.

The item looked good. The lock lever was so loose that if you closed the door more than once the vibration caused it to lock you out. Ended up removing lock mechanism. Internal spring too heavy making it hard to turn small knob. Ended up cutting spring shorter to reduce tension. Hole in strike plate exactly same size as plunger. No room for error in door alignment due to climate changes. Ended up fileing the hole in the strike plate longer.
The door lockset was a real solution !

This lock set successfully latches and keeps the screen door closed. The old lock set (bolt-in-door's thickness) never worked smoothly even with shims, etc. weak spring, etc. R. Kaiser in idaho.

The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is the size of the knobs. They are small and that makes them not to easy to grip.

I have a wooden screen door with very narrow gap between it and the main door. This fits perfectly.

The latch works well. I think the knob is small but it is original style and size. It's better quality than the organic latch that was on the door from the 1930s. The only thing that confusing me was the dual set screws on the knob. That said it is a good idea.
Good product, but needs installation instructions

Works well, looks great. Comes with a few extra screws and an extra setscrew, which is great. But it has no installation instructions, and it really needs them. I was mystified for a while about the geometry of how to mount it on the door and the jamb, which was partly me being dumb, but looking at the Q&A for this and similar latches, I'm not the only one. And it would be nice to have instructions about the size of the hole to drill through the door, about drilling pilot hole for screws (I didn't, except for the two for the strike plate, which are very close to the edge of the wood), about mortising the strike plate, etc.

I love the latch, but the knobs are too tiny to grasp well making it difficult to unlatch. I was hoping to replace the knobs with levers, but haven't been able to find any that fit the shaft
