Description

With its intricate, Victorian-style bow and solid-brass construction, this skeleton key is suited for a variety of uses - from fun to functional. Replace a broken or missing furniture key, repurpose for a decorative project, or delight wedding and party guests with their own keepsake to take home. Its unlacquered finish allows it to age naturally into an antique patina. For furniture or cabinet applications, operability can only be determined by testing, therefore we recommend purchasing an assortment of keys at one time.

Dimensions: Barrel: 1 1/2" L x 3/16" W. Bit: 3/16" T x 1/4" W. Bow: 1 7/16" T. Total length (including bow): 3".

Hardware Tip

The bow is the ring part that you hold, the barrel is the tube in the center and the bit is the tooth like part on the end.

Comments:

I like to collect skeleton keys, both authentic antiques and faithful replicas. When I saw this intricate piece, I knew I had to have it in my collection! I don't yet have any antique lockable furniture so I couldn't tell you if it works or on what it would, but I can tell you just by holding and inspecting it that it is solidly constructed. I just love its design!

Looked everywhere for the original and could not find it in the house. Needed to get into the cupboard and I ordered this key. Not a duplicate but it worked. I am very happy. My husband is happy and is no longer lamenting the loss of the key. It will maybe turn up one day but my grandchildren use to play with it. Different then keys they knew they were fascinated with the original. Anyway, problem solved. Thank you. Janet McCarthy
