Cast Iron Victorian-Style Floor Register

These register grates are solidly built and look beautiful, but poorly placed screws that hold the louvers onto the face plate protrude 1/8"" on each side making the boot a little over sized for my 4"" duct holes. I am going to need to replace or file down the screws on the underside. Not the biggest problem in the world, but a shocking oversight given the cost of these registers.

Replaced a floor register in my master closet, it fits right in with the style in going with and it feels very well-made with a smooth finish and clean operating mechanism. The flange is a little thick and the dimensions for the portion that slips into the duct are slightly larger than your conventional floor register, so keep in mind that it may catch your foot in a walkway and you may need to bang out the duct a little to get it to fit better.

Before this product I had vents with a similar elegant design but they were manufactured with a thin steel and plastic boots that broke or flexed if stepped on. Now that I have these cast iron vents with steel boots I'm always confident of their strength and durability. On top of that they are exactly the perfect style for my house.

I ordered two (2) floor register vents. The ones where you can close off the air movement. However, I received two (2) what appears to be cold air return vents. No way to close off air movement.

When renovating our 1908 Queen Anne home we wanted to maintain some of the original details and this did not disappoint - it looks just like our original vents through out the house. The quality and finish is very nice and made of true {heavy} cast iron. Highly recommend

These have gone in our new home which is a rebuild of a 1790's brick story and a half Federal house. It has been important to reuse as much material as possible and keep the feeling of an early 19th century home. These floor registers are perfect next to the hand scraped solid hickory floors. Delivery was fast and materials were very well packaged.

I ordered a bunch of these to replace the old tired stamped steel. I just swapped them out. They look great, finished.

Over time, we replaced all of the floor registers in our home with these Victorian style registers. These are beautiful, solid designs. We couldn't be happier. I never thought I would appreciate the style of a floor register, but I actually enjoy looking at these.
