Description

A gently rolled handle adds an artisan touch to this sturdy 22 3/4-Inch Forged Iron Cane Bolt. Ideal for Colonial or other rustic home styles, it comes with a smooth black finish and strike plates for three mounting options.

Dimensions. Bolt: 22 3/4" x 7/16". Back plates: 4" H x 1 1/2" W. Max Throw: 7".

Hardware Tip

Buying this again!

Comments:

This was the only door bolt with a long enough range to reach the ground on our French doors. And it was the only one that didn't have a large handle that sticks out at 90 degrees, which would have extended into the glass portion of the door. They are high quality, handmade, and stylish. It took me a long time to find these, and I'm very pleased!

Wonder alternative to short door bolts

Comments:

I needed to install slide bolts on one door of a two door set of old church doors being refinished and repurposed. The problem was finding an alternative to bending over to actuated a typical slide latch. Expensive and more complicated mechanisms did not fit the style of the doors. These cane bolts solved the problem and preserved the look of the door.
