We bought a 60 year old co-op outside NYC and removed all the doors to strip of years of paint. In the process lost two of the hinges so we bought these hoping they could work. But then we found our missing hinges so returned the ones we had purchased. Since the frame side of our hinges is a welded part of the metal door frame, replacing them would just about be impossible. But if we could have replaced all of them with these beautiful hinges, we would have in a heartbeat. They are very heavy and look like a million bucks. Couldn't have been more pleased with them. A shame we couldn't have replaced ALL our hinges!

Older houses have hinges that are a bit thicker than the new cheaper ones. finding those thicker hinges in the right finish can be difficult, but these were perfect!

My installer did not have access to square hinges in chrome. I was happy to share your website with him. These look so much better than the originals....it is like jewelry for my door.
