4 3/8" Forged Iron Slide Bolt With Black Powder-Coated Finish

I love these locks and have installed them on all of the batten doors in my 17th century home. The locks look great, are easy to use, and complement the latch hardware also purchased from House of Antique Hardware. I have purchased locks from other locations and found that they were not long enough - the length and maneuverability are great on these locks.

I live in a historic fairytale cottage in Carmel CA., the bolts were installed on the outside of the home; so I wanted them to be historically correct.I had a time crunch and could not wait for the local blacksmith to make any; so I went online to find some. I was very impressed with the quality and the service that I recieved from House of Antiques hardware. The bolts were shipped and arrived in the time frame they stated and they look like they were original to the time period of the home. Needed a nice antique look on my restoration project.

We live in a d-log home and have an old Dutch door that a previous owner had used a regular slip lock with. It kept coming unlocked and the door would swing half-hazardly open all the time. We wanted something nicer to keep the two doors together and this was perfect! Easy to instal -matches the decor of our home.

I was afraid we would have to deface our 250 year old door to provide needed security - NOPE! This bolt blends perfectly with the original iron hardware - looks like it could have been there all along.

These latches are heavy and strong.
