Brass Classic-Style Shelf Bracket - 9 7/8" x 7 3/8"

The brackets solve the problem of adding shelving to an old house; they're just decorative enough to blend in to an older aesthetic, but not too fussy. They blend right in. The included color-matched screws, however, are the worst hardware I have ever encountered in 30 years. If you want to use them, you won't just need to drill generous pilot holes. You'll need to find betters screws of the same size and threading and use those to cut threads into your shelf and moorings — even if the shelf's just ordinary pine. You need to be able to spin the included screws in as you would a bolt into a nut. If the screw encounters any resistance — truly, ANY resistance AT ALL — your screwdriver will instantly destroy the Phillips recess, leaving you with no purchase on the screw. They're that soft.

The bracket is very nice; it seems study and has a beautiful finish. We were most unhappy to break three screws in the process of installing. We did predrill and we do have carpentry experience, these screws are too soft. We had to relocate the brackets and made a real mess of things, most unfortunate for our old house walls.

We used the brackets to hold up the upper shelf of our newly finished ""drop zone"". Adds class and just enough pizzaz! Very happy!

These worked perfectly for a coffee station with retractable doors. There was a problem securing the shelves in a standard fashion, but these brackets solved the problem.

I love the brass brackets. I searched the internet for simple classic solid brass brackets. I kept finding what I liked on web pages from Europe. Shipping was more than the actual product and decided before i bit that expensive bullet I thought I'd check out signature hardware and they had the exact product for way less and free shipping!! Thrilled with my purchase!!

I was looking everywhere for a large brass shelf bracket. After purchasing five from House of Antiques Hardware, I loved them so much I wanted to add another two. They work perfectly and bring an old world charm to the kitchen. The shelf brackets were also strong enough to hold the large quartz shelf. Overall- so very happy with this purchase.

We followed other reviewers' advice and purchased different screws for installation, so it's hard to really comment on the included screws. We didn't take any chances. But these brackets look amazing and appear to the be the same exact product that is sold on Signature Hardware for $8-10 more per bracket.

This item is great, however get your own hardware. The screws that come with it are weak. Thank you
