First of all, I totally thought these were coasters for a sweating glass, not for furniture. My bad. Regardless, I still use them as glass coasters! haha. Unfortunately I bought a green set and clear set. The green set is not green glass but coated clear glass. The green peeled right off in the dish water. I would assume it would peel off with any scrape when used as a furniture coaster.

Excellent product for price

after not being able to find glass furniture coasters anywhere I finally searched online and found these. I'm ecstatic as they are exactly what I was looking for. I have used them to help raise the front of two VERY heavy claw-footed pieces, a breakfront and an armoire. The floors in my house inevitably sag a little as you move away from the walls, not too much but enough that it is problematic with furniture as tall as these and I wanted something sufficiently attractive to put under the front legs to lean it back towards the wall. These are perfect and look great. At the same time I ordered a couple sets of the smaller diameter coasters for some caster chairs I have in the living room, they are equally good. Visually I cannot see a difference between these and the ones my grandmother had. An excellent product!

The Glass coasters are not leaving marks on the new flooring that the plastic coasters are from the wheels/legs of a 1930's fold out metal bed.

Coasters were dusty, even though they came individually wrapped in bubble wrap envelopes. While washing with warm soapy water I noticed green flakes on the sponge. So the coasters are really clear glass that has been coated. If this information had been disclosed, I still would have purchased them, but would never wash them in water; only dust with a cloth.
