Description

Dating from the late 19th-century, this handsome Horizontal Rim Lock suits Victorian, Craftsman or Colonial-Revival interiors. Made of heavy-duty cast iron with all brass interior parts and a privacy latch. Reversible for right or left handed doors.

Dimensions:
Lock body: 4 3/16" W x 3 5/16" H x 3/4" Thick.
Keeper: 3/4" W x 3 5/16" H x 3/4" Thick.
Backset: 3 1/16".

Please note: the privacy latch can not be disengaged from outside the room.

Hardware Tip

Rim locks are attached to the surface of a door operated by a knob or lever. Rim locks are mounted on in-swing doors on the inside of a room with a skeleton key and/or privacy bolt to lock.

Great product for a working old door.

was well made but the door had been cut to fit another lock before so the opening of the door was a little tricky so had to be changed up. After said and done works great.

Very authentic looking!

Very authentic reproduction lock

Comments:

Bought to replace antique rim lock that had failed. This lock blended in well with existing hardware in the room and preserved the character of the door. Very heavy and sturdy, this is not a cheap knock-off. Very happy with my purchase.
