Making Furniture Feel Fancu

Comments:

I ordered several of these handles after getting absorbed in a Pinterest board about dressing up cheap furniture. I located my inspiration and honed in on rich brass accents. I found exactly what I was looking for at House of Antique Hardware. There were so many intriguing options to choose from, but I ended up settling on this particular item. Simple. Elegant. Timeless. My handles arrived in Texas in no time and I was enthralled at how carefully and meticulously each handle was individually wrapped and separted from the screws so as not to damage the handles. I'm no furniture-fixing pro by any stretch of the imagination, but I was easily able to attach my handles and I have to say I'm very impressed with my finished product. My $80 chest of drawers looks like a million bucks!

Perfect for my 1908 Kitchen

Comments:

We are getting ready to remodel the kitchen in our 1908 cottage. There is nothing original to the existing room, so it's pretty much going to be from scratch. We are using materials that would've been used in the 1930s - 40s. I even found a cabinet maker who is making cupboards with inset doors, like they used to do. The icing on the cake are these gorgeous bin pulls. They are not only period-perfect, but they are extremely well made, cast from molten brass, not ""stamped"" from a thin metal sheet. I am pairing the pulls with spring latches for the cabinet doors. I can't wait till it's all finished!

plain brass bin pull

Comments:

We used these bin pulls on our new kitchen cabinets and they are a perfect match for the 100 yr old bin pulls on the built in cabinet in our kitchen. These were the only plain bin pulls we found that were cast brass, others were cast iron.

Solid and beautiful!

Comments:

These are a classic style and look that will last the ages. They are unlaquered so they will patina, if you don't like that, they are easy to shine up again with a little Bar Keepers Friend. That may or may not be recommended by the manufacturer, however I've never had an issue with a soft paste and gentle touch.
