Exactly what this vintage door needed

Comments:

This threaded spindle was the perfect replacement for the original spindle in this vintage doorknob set. The quality of the threaded ends on this spindle mitigated much of the worn threads on the inside of the knobs. This has been a complete and solid repair without compromising the provenance of the original hardware.

Worked great: the threading holds it not the screw!

Was pleasantly surprised this was easier than I thought! The washers also helped it turn more easily .. still need to drill the door for the skeleton key...great site figured out mortise era never heard of it but able to figure out what's needs!
