The classic and versatile 3 1/2-inch distressed ball tip door hinge has been a favorite since the late 19th century. Our authentic reproduction has a loose pin with attached finial, slotted and Phillips wood screws, and heavy duty 1/8-inch thick leaves - just like the originals. Made of solid cast bronze for high strength and durability.

Hardware Tip
Question: How are butt hinges measured? Answer: The height is just of the leaf not including the finials and the width is the total open width of both leaves and the knuckle.

Beautiful Solid Reproduction Ball Tip Hinge

Our 1905 Shingle Style house has an adorable original tiny door to a space under the eaves that I have turned into a ""secret room"" for my grandchildren. One of the original hinges was in good working order but the other was missing its pin. This hinge was almost a perfect match. The mortise had to be chiseled out about a 1/16"" top and bottom but installed, the new hinge is an unnoticeable difference.
