Description

Press-fit style sash pulleys were found in most American homes in the early 20th century. Authentic and easy to install, they are still a great choice for restorations or new construction. Common size can replace many old pulleys. Made of durable steel and available in a variety of popular finishes.

Dimensions:
Wheel Diameter: 2". Faceplate: 3" H x 1 1/32" W.
Housing: 2 3/4" H x 1 1/2" D x 5/8" W.
Backset to center of wheel: 3/4".
Wheel Channel: 5/16" W x 3/16" Deep.
May use #8 sash cord, #8 chain & #25 chain.

Hardware Tip

Sash Pulley: Used in conjunction with sash cord and weights to allow double or single hung windows to stay open.

Replaced the original part from the early 1900's perfectly.

I searched for this part for a long time before finally finding it here. It is a nearly perfect match to the original, which was about 110 years old. Just a small modification to the slot in the wood jamb with a file and it worked great!

This met my needs 100%

In retying weights onto double-hung windows in my 1921 bungalow, I needed new pulleys. These are exactly what I needed. This pulley seems standard for this type of house construction.

Worked Like a Charm

Comments:

This type of sash cord pulley is a bit of a hassle to replace, but is worth it. I couldn't open my office window with the old pulley because it was wobbly and the cord would slip off and get jammed between the pulley and the back of the window. Now I can open and close the window and the cord stays on properly.
