Hardwood door stops, like this Wood Floor-Mount with Rubber Bumper Ring, were popular in the Victorian era. Turned from solid wood, our shapely reproduction is easily installed with the included lag screw. Available in your choice of pine (lacquered or unlacquered) or stained and lacquered rosewood.

My doorknob kept putting a hole in drywall. I wanted something unique. Just put in wood floors, so it blends in well. Because we needed it to be little taller, we cut a piece of wood on the drill press and painted it black to match the rubber part. Plus I use a lot of black accents in my home. It looks like it came that way. I absolutely love it

I-ring was very brittle and broke immediately when taking off to finish wood. Wood is pine with a decent amount of filler so didn't take stain particularly well, even when using a wood conditioner first.
