Life saving Spindle

This spindle was for some old French doors from the 1930's and was very hard to find. We had trouble with our door knobs constantly coming loose and this spindle fixed everything instantly.
Good door hardware

The original door spindles in my door were very soft and broke easily. The replacement from House of Antiques is much stronger and works perfectly. Very easy to install!
Spindles are a tricky fit

In searching for replacement spindles to fit the doorknobs for our 1920's home I found that there were either no standards or multiple standards at the time. All of the other spindles that I got my hands on had major and minor diameters that were too large to fit my knobs. This was in addition to the fact that the 18 TPI pitch is less used, so these are the only new spindles that I could find. Luckily these are a perfect fit with appropriately smaller diameter threads to fit our knobs. Thank you.
