Description

Spring butt hinges are typically used on interior garage doors or anywhere a self-closing door is required. This 3.5-inch 1/4-inch radius UL listed hinge is suitable for right or left hand installation and features easily adjusted spring tension. Made of heavy duty steel (.11-inch thick) with your choice of attractive finishes.

Dimensions: 3 1/2" H x 3 1/2" W x .11" thick. The leaves have a 1/4" radius corner.

Hardware Tip

These hinges are mounted just like a butt hinge and are mortised into the edge of the door and the door frame.

3 1/2 Single action hinge

Comments:

Do not lose or drop the locking pin. It comes with only one. You may find a substitute at a hardware store, but it will not fit as snugly.

Works well, make sure to select correct edge diameter

Comments:

Just follow the instructions - install the hinge first before setting the tension. Works like a charm - we use one sprung hinge on a bedroom door to keep it in the mostly closed position. The pets push/pull their way in and out and it closes behind them, maintaining the privacy behind the door.
