We got this to replace missing hardware on an original door that's being installed in a new room of our house. It did take some time and handiwork to get the mortise hardware to fit properly in the existing opening, but now that it's in, it seems to be working. The knob and key cover match perfectly with the original hardware, which was my main goal.
