Fantastic product that is difficult to find in most stores!
Excellent replacement for original

We reconfigured out attic and added a couple of doors that needed hardware. The doors that had been there required knobs on both sides but two of the new ones were for closets, so only needed a knob on the outside. The doorknobs were original to the 1928 house. Had I not found these thumb turns I wouldn't have been able to free up the knobs to use for the closets, and would likely have resorted to new, non-matching knibs. I was able to determine the threads per inch were the same as on these spindles, and customer service helped me determine the correct length. Very reasonably priced.
Love this website

Slowly replacing all the door hardware in our 95yr old house. A previous homeowner had replaced some of the glass knobs and we wanted to bring that look back. House of Amtique Hardware is the only place I have been able to find replacement hardware for our doors. We have a variety of knobs, thumbturns, locks, etc. Not only have they carried what we were needing, but the prices are reasonable.
They had a hard to find part

Door latch
Very good, but not perfect

Unfortunately, when I installed the thumbspindle in my closet door, using the 1929 door hardware, it was oriented diagonally rather than vertically or horizontally. There was no way to adjust for this. So it doesn't match the vertical orientation of thumbspindles in the other closet doors in the house.
Worked great but needed some modification.

This worked great for converting our pantry doors using an antique glass door knob. We did have a problem with the spindle being too long even tho we had called to discuss before ordering and was told it would be fine. We were able to cut the spindle down and it works great. However kind of pricey for having to do a modification.
