Mortise Lock Installation/Repair
Comments:
Not first purchase from this supplier. Tech. service was accurate and helpfull. Nice to see this, refreshing.
mortise lock no shock
Comments:
well constructed not cheap and flimsy feeling as in other locks found in some franchise hardware stores
Nice lock for the price
Comments:
My real complaint is oil rubbed bronze finish on jam strike will eventually fail, already showing wear. the instal would have been a REAL pain if my brother did not have a Fess Tool router Jig. We needed a router bit extension and several passes at incremental depths to get mortise pocked cut out. Final instal works nice. I'm sure the lock quality is higher on the more expensive unit, but it works fine. I was just a little lighter than I expected.
Not worth the price
Comments:
This mortise lock came as part of a set, and I did not end up using it. The asking price of approx $60 when purchased separately is much too high, especially given the quality.
very pleased with this lock

lock was used at back door of my 1922 bungalow. Had to do a bit of fitting. Well pleased!
