These are great if you are looking to add functional shutters to your home, as I was. I couldn't find anything like this in major retailers, as most people only put up faux shutters these days. These are weighted, so they automatically pivot to have the larger spiral at the bottom, so you need to hold it open to move the shutter in or out, just fyi.

Wonderful, solid, authentic, and well crafted. They make a statement and our neighbors notice them. We have windows on our front porch so it's important they look solid, not cheap. These are GREAT quality and 'heavy'. Obvious value!!

These shutter dogs are perfect! Just what we were looking for!

The shutter dogs are great and great looking. The screws on both batches ordered were atrocious, stripping almost immediately. I am not an amateur, have restored many houses and buildings now. I would buy the product and toss the screws. Really aan embarassment for such a nice looking product.
