Premium Privacy Tubular Door Latch with Solid Brass Face & Strike Plates

I went to several locksmiths and they didn't have this size cylinder lock. However, it would be helpful if more detailed dimensions were on the site. I needed a cylinder privacy lock that was 2.7"" from faceplate to center of the spindle and this fit that need. I used this with Rejuvenation's crystal door knob and it worked well.

It is hard to find good quality latches for a reasonable price for these old 5/16"" spindles we have. Most modern latches are for 1/4"" and do not fit. The only con to these is that my predrilled door holes had to be widened on the top and bottom for the mechanism to turn which was quite tedious--there's a little piece that sticks out when the door handle turns. Still, unless you want to buy completely new door sets and throw out your 100 year old crystal knobs, there're almost no options, and these work very well.
