Beautiful. Too bad it does not actually work...
Comments:
The brass aspect is excellent. It's gorgeous. It's the electrical element of the internal switch that's simply mis-produced.
Disappointed
Comments:
The button sticks and because of that he bell does not ring all the time. My money was refunded without a problem.
Do not buy. This is defective.
Comments:
DO NOT BUY. This light switch is not properly manufactured. After connecting the first wire, the switch will begin to shock you depending on where you hold it, and especially when the button is pressed. Testing with a multimeter I found that the two leads on the back are not correctly connected to the internals of the button and the faceplate. Some parts of the brass seem to be isolated, while other are not. This is very easy to verify. When pressing the button, you get an uncomfortable jolt from the button that feels like your hair wants to stand up, but significantly more than what rubbing balloons together. The transfer was a standard 16VAC US from another light switch kit, so that was not the problem.
It is exactly what I hoped for

Looks perfect.

Looks even better in person. Perfect for our 1925 Tudor.
Love this doorbell!

Love this doorbell. I was looking to replace the cheap-o 1990's doorbell on our colonial revival 1990's home. This adds a great touch to the front of our home.
