Description

These cast iron 6-inch scroll shutter dogs are a simple and elegant way to keep shutters open while adding a lovely period detail to your home’s exterior. Ours are uniquely smooth which allows them to blend with various house styles. Can be mounted on wood or masonry with the included lag bolt. (masonry lag shield anchors not included).

Dimensions: 6" H x 2 1/4" W x 1/4" thickness
Lag Bolt: 4 1/4" L x 5/16" D w/ washer and cotter pin

Hardware Tip

Cast: Process where molten brass, iron or other metals are poured and formed in molds often made of sand. The products made in this manner are often thick and heavy.

Scrolls great-- bolts bad

Scroll dog is beautiful- although when installed the bolt snapped under slight pressure. Knowing the bolt was fragile made it a little more difficult to properly install into brick anchors.
