Description

Non-mortise hinges are the simplest means of installing inset cabinet doors. Surface mounted to the inside edge of the face frame and cabinet panel, they are easily mounted and adjusted. This pair of hinges is made of steel with a flat-black finish.

Dimensions: Overall Height: 3 1/8". Large leaf: 3" H x 15/16" W. Small leaf: 1 3/4" H x 3/4" W (including knuckle). Surface mounted with ten 1/2" slotted wood screws.

Hardware Tip

Non-mortise hinge: A hinge which has thin leaves allowing them to be mounted on the edge of a cabinet door without having to be mortised.

Non-mortise hinges

Comments:

Used the hinges on an existing wall unit. They actual quality of the hinges isn't real bad except for the holes aren't countersink as much as they should be. And the screws are low quality. The doors were ""sprung"" and wouldn't freely swing shut. After Googling the topic, I learned that to make them work properly you need to bevel the hinge side of the door. Doing this, the depth of the countersink wasn't an issue. Apparently it's a inherent problem with No-mortise hinges in general.
