Simple but beautiful
Comments:
Looks beautiful on the front door of my 1844 historic colonial home. I wanted something simple to fit the period and I am very pleased with the design and quality of the product!
Beautiful Reproduction Mortise Set
Comments:
Purchased in the antique pewter finish. The finish is gorgeous, the knob and escutcheons are nice and weighty. The mortise lock once installed turns very smooth and the motion is nice and tight, no wobbly knobs or anything. It looks very high end. The installation was very simple, I had expected it to be more difficult with the mortise lock but it was a breeze! The only complaint I have is that the mortise lock itself has a brass face plate attached, I was under the impression that it would arrive in the same finish as the lock set, since the item had the saying ""1 Skeleton Key Mortise Lock with Matching Face Plate"". That's the only reason I have to give it four stars instead of five, it seems like an incorrect description since I have gorgeous antique pewter escutcheons and knobs but a glaring brass faceplate once the door is open :( Se la Vie.
