Black Iron Decorative Shelf Bracket 5 7/8" x 7 7/8"

I bought these brackets because I wanted my home office shelves to have something with a vintage feel. I wasn't enthusiastic at the wooden brackets I was finding at the hardware store, so I looked online and was surprised at the very reasonable price of these! They reminded me of a design you'd find in an old garden gate, or wrought iron fence in the south. They hold up my shelves and add a gorgeous touch of architectual interest. I just wish I had open shelves in my kitchen, cause I'd put them there too! I was very happy with the ordering process, and timely delivery as well. This is a reputable company, and everything was packaged nicely so nothing was damaged. I was very happy!

Couldn't believe the beauty of the product until the brackets were installed the shelving up and the girlfriend said I couldn't have made a better perch for her kitty. Thx for giving me 2 thumbs up from both of them. Will be shopping for more great products that you deliver on.

Really great and exactly what I needed! They're sturdy and they look fantastic. The design is a little unusual but they look perfect for what I used them for (long, high bookshelves). A couple things to know before you get them - the finish is not the rough matte black you may be expecting from a wrought iron product. It's actually a semi-gloss black paint with a smoother look. Also, the screws that come with them are flathead and they're not particularly long. They're nice and they match the finish but, depending on what you're using them for, they may not be practical. If you're going directly into wood or through one layer of drywall into a stud they should work fine but if you have plaster walls or need to use anchors you'll probably have to use something else. Black drywall screws worked well for me and they fit into the screw holes just fine. Overall, though, I couldn't be happier. I needed sixteen of these badboys so I had to go a little lower on the individual price and I'm very lucky to have found these. Everything shipped quickly and arrived in great condition.

The bracket is lovely, particularly for the price, but the holes on either side are so tiny and so close together that it is rather a chore to get it secured and to keep it straight. The frustration level was fairly high. I would say the bracket is essentially decorative only as its function is limited by the above.
