Large Brass Grip-Neck Caster with 1 1/2" Brass Wheel

I ordered these casters to raise a sofa that was being recovered and to ease moving the sofa for cleaning.

Bought these because they were described as heavy duty and I needed that for an 1840 solid mahogany table. Quality nice. Problem is the holes in the legs of table are bigger than modern day socket inserts. The pressure points induced by table weight and loose sockets will cause the legs to crack. I now need to spread out the weight load over the base of the leg foot with a round base caster socket and snug up the leg holes with wood bushings.....both of which you don't carry. A nice informational page would be nice. Your specs seem a little weak.

I purchased these caster wheels for a rosewood with brass inlaid tea trolley I had bought in Pakistan some 30+ years ago as one of the small back brass wheels had been accidentally lost in a move. While this wheel does not look like the original design, they do fit perfectly and the style is more in keeping with the tea trolley. My only issue would be that there is no antique brass finish available as that would match with the rest of brass fitting on the tea trolley. The shiny un-lacquered finish is too bright. That's why I rated these wheels only a 4 out of 5 stars.

The size is a bit small for the table I was replacing missing hardware. The teeth of the socket were larger and did not fit into missing spots without first repairing the wood.

I purchased an antique table that was too low to use without the casters. This product fixed the problem as well as adding a beautiful decorative look to the table. The casters are heavy duty and a lovely finish!

Added these beautiful casters to the coffee table legs.

Used these brass wheels on a small cabinet! Looks awesome!
