The black paint chips extremely easily

Comments:

The positive- the door handle works great and looks good. The very bad- I've had it installed for 2 weeks and the paint on the strike plate and the mortise deadbolt and latch bolt hardware are chipping, so brass is showing. Definitely not the look I was going for. Now I need to rebuy the hardware in a different finish because I can't figure out how to stop the chipping on the part of the door that takes the biggest beating. Happy with how the door functions but very disappointed with the finish.
