Description

Recalling the early 20th century, this classic Sheffield-style shade adds character to new and vintage fixtures alike. Made of satin-opal glass, its smooth, opaque surface softens glare for glowing light. With flowing lines and characteristic shell-like ribbed surface, it works well in a variety of period-inspired homes.

Dimensions: 4 3/4" H x 4 3/4" D. Fitter: 2 1/4".

How are glass lamp shades measured?

Hardware Tip

The fitter is the outside diameter of the round opening at the small end of the shade. This should be a little smaller than the size of the shade holder on your fixture.

Fragile glass shades

Comments:

Local RR museum has almost completed restoration of a 1927 parlor car for our excursion trains. I bought 5 milk glass shades to insert in authentic brass wall sconces on the car. Looks: shades are correct for 1927, but these new glass shades are a third the thickness of shades actually made in the 20s, two broke in shipping. Flimsy. Weirdly, the two shades you sent to replace them are a little thicker. When replacing light bulbs, we will have to be very cautious not to crack any and all of these.

Glass Lampshade for antique chandelier

Comments:

""Satin opal"" finish was the correct finish for our antique chandelier, after ordering the wrong finish first. It looks exactly like the other four shades that came with the chandelier. (One had broken.)

good quality reproduction

Comments:

This has nice sheen on it to go in my 1880s home with a ceiling fixture in a bedroom.

Not the Best ...

Comments:

Hugely disappointed. Not the quality I have come to expect from HAH.com

Satin Opal Sheffield style shade

Comments:

I ordered these because the description of satin opal should have been the shiny finish like my current shades are. They are nice but a mat finish...Pretty disappointed.
