The fitter is the outside diameter of the round opening at the small end of the shade. This should be a little smaller than the size of the shade holder on your fixture.

Art Glass Shade

Comments:

We are selling our house and I wanted different look for the rather typical ceiling fan we have in the Master bedroom so I decided the simplest thing to do was change the old glass shade for a more decorative one. The one I found through House of Antiques was in an Art Deco style, well made and well priced. It arrived securely packaged and quickly. Also very pleased with the variety of product choices.

Deco delight

Comments:

I had to use longer screws to mount to my light kit as the opening is small. It was difficult to,determine from the measurements available that the opening would be smaller than my fixture.

Elegant shade at a fine price

Comments:

HOA is not the only source for this reproduction shade, but I doubt you will find it for a better price elsewhere. Art Deco was a language with many dialects and my favorite was its Greek Revival.

Great selection and great value.

Comments:

I needed to replace a globe that was missing on an old chariot lamp that belonged to my grandparents in the 1930's. The globe I ordered worked out perfectly.

Hard to find shades match perfectly!

Comments:

After endless google searching for replacement covers, I came across them here and was so relieved! We have an old home and two had broken, these are exactly like my antique ones, they fit perfect and look great!

I would buy products like these again

Comments:

My home was built in the 1930's and has been renovated keeping with the tradition of that time. We have purchased so many items from your website to help us in that process. We are so happy with the result and the WOW effect we hear from people who visit.

Nice but doesn't fit as it should

Comments:

The shade is nice in appearance. The fitter is ever so slightly too large for the fixture opening. I measured twice before ordering but the fitter and fixture are the same diameter and won't work. I called House of Antique Hardware and explained I wanted to return it due to this problem. The warehouse person didn't understand and began a yelling argument with someone else in the background. I waited patiently trying to figure out what was going on but the worker never resumed conversing with me. So the shade sits in its box. Very disappointing.

Perfect finishing touch for our 1920's home

Comments:

Recently re-painted and fixed up a small bedroom in our 1926 Tudor home. The cheap ball light fixture, that a former owner had put in, just had to go! Found House of Antique Hardware and their selections of light fixtures that fit the old base - and was immediately taken with their Art Deco shade. We love keeping the original character of our home, and it still has most of it's original light fixtures. Finding this one was fabulous. It's beautifully made and looks just right in the space.

Replacement shade

Comments:

Beautiful shade. We have double front porches on our cottage in Eureka Springs Arkansas. One of our shade was broken and I was able to match it 100%.
