Description

Colonial style buzzer button made of wrought steel features classic styling and a solid steel backplate. The rough textured finish is available in 2 colors and the easy surface mount installation is a snap to install! Features a lighted button for better visibility.

Dimensions: 4 3/8" H x 2 9/16" W. Projection: 5/8". Screw hole center to center: 1 5/8".

Please note: this electric button is designed to operate a standard door chime located within a home. The chime is not included (available at most home improvement stores) and must be hardwired into the wall.

Hardware Tip

Door Buzzer Button: A decorative button used to replace the one which operates an existing electric doorbell. The buzzer button alone does not make sound it must be wired to a buzzer and transformer.

We purchased this item to replicate the shape and style of exterior door hardware on a new home we built. Not only does it match perfectly, it is very well made and looks terrific! The finish and durability exceeded our expectations!

Worth the struggle

Comments:

The wiring connection post on the back protrudes higher than the back plate, so plan on drilling a larger hole into the wall to have the plate rest flush on the wall or trim board. The plastic around the doorbell button post and trapping flange were poorly glued to the decorative plate so it made for a frustrating installation because the button assembly kept spinning on me when I tried to put it onto the wall. Once installed, it works and looks great!
