Description

A simple, round rosette is an elegant backdrop to many styles of door knobs. This low-profile design, which steps down slightly around the outside to create a subtle border, is re-cast from a circa 1920 antique original. Due to the screw hole positioning, it will not work on doors pre-drilled with a 2 1/8" bore.

Outside diameter: 2 1/4". Inside collar diameter: 21/32". This rosette does not work on modern pre-bored doors.

Hardware Tip

How do I know what door knobs will work with a particular rosette or door plate? The knob shank diameter should be a little less than the inside collar diameter on the rosette.

Brass Rosette

Comments:

Nice replica piece for an antique door. Is high quality and blends in well with the existing antique hardware on the door.

brass rosettes

Comments:

The rosette does not have the detaila around the outer edge as pictured -- there is some kind of line but it is very vague, so the distinctive style I had hoped for is not apparent.

Great match for my antique rosettes

Comments:

These rosettes were a great reproduction to match the antique rosettes in my 1904 home. Some of the original rosettes were replaced with cheaper, stamped versions and I've been looking for something to replace them. Very glad I found these.

I like it a lot.

Comments:

High quality. Looks nice and does the job.

PHOTO DOES NOT REFLECT ACTUAL DESIGN

Comments:

The item is reasonably well made but it does not look at all like the photo on this website. The actual item is more or less flat with the subtlest of shallow recesses around the outermost edge, (and of course the recess for the shaft of the doorknob to go into, but that is not a 'visual detail).

Pretty little piece.

Comments:

Finish is good.

Solid brass

Comments:

Solid brass. Much better than brass plated or stamped. Beautiful color

Thank You Eva

Here's the story...I studied the online catalogue with the photos and specs and was uncertain which size rosette to buy for my recently purchased 130 year old farmhouse. I did purchase rosettes last fall but guessed wrong on the size by 1/16 inch. After finding my earlier purchase this spring I had a renewed determination to install doorknobs on my extra bedrooms. I shipped a spare knob with the returned rosettes back to Portland.
