Description

These delicate surface hinges bring to mind a graceful butterfly. Dating from the late Victorian era, they'll give your cabinets a charming vintage touch. Made of stamped steel with a plated finish (please note: all finishes have a slight surface texture). Flush mounted.

Dimensions: 1 3/8" H x 1 7/8" W.

Hardware Tip

Surface Hinge: Also called flush or full surface, a surface hinge is one which is mounted to the face of the door and door frame so that the entire hinge is visible when the door is closed.

always in keeping with history

Comments:

I purchased these hinges to put on little bead board doors to hide my washer and dryer electric and plumbing. I bought the same hinges in a larger size earlier this year for old cabinet doors I found in an antique shop. As far as historic detailing, the hinges matched the outline of the original hinges perfectly! I am so pleased with both sizes of these historically accurate hinges.

An old kitchen cabinet

Replace hinges on old cabinet doors. Made it look original

Art Deco Hinges

Comments:

Nice style. Finish and material looked like stamped metal. I opted to return these as the appearance did not look good. Could be a good choice if your looking for a reconditioned hinge look.

Close match to my old hinges

Comments:

Used hinges to replace worn out ones on small cabinet doors. They go well with the old hinges and work great.

Great hinges, not-so-great screws

Comments:

These are lovely hinges! Easy motion (sometimes needs a bit of WD-40 the first time around), strong, and unique. Buy without fear! My only issue are the screws, which favor authenticity over practical use. They are slotted and a very soft brass. They are very hard to get in because they are easy to strip or damage. Fortunately, that's an easy fix -- buy your own brass colored screws in a stronger material and get Phillips-head rather than slotted if you're not worried about perfect period authenticity.

I would buy this product and from this company again.

All is well with it. My only wish would be for you to have an even smaller hinge - for the work I do

Perfect match for my antique cabinet!

Comments:

These hinges were a perfect match to replace the rusted ones on my cabinet. So happy that this was available.

Screw broke during installation

Comments:

I am disapponted. A pilot hole was drilled and the screw was being hand tightened when it broke. I can't find screw with a matching finish locally.

You get what you pay for.

Comments:

These hinges fairly low quality. The screws are both low quality, and don't sit flush to the hinge. I'm NOT going to use them for my bathroom renovation, but will hang onto them to use on a toy box or something...
