Description

This small sized, ring handle casement latch is made of solid, non-corrosive brass. The handle and base are riveted for extra strength, making this a fine choice for large or hard to close windows. This versatile set is reversible and includes 2 strikes, one for mortise and one for rim mounting.

Dimensions: Latch Base: 1 9/16" H x 1 1/16" W. Projection (including handle): 1 1/8". Mortise strike plate: 2 1/2" H x 3/4"W. Rim strike plate: 1 3/4" H x 1 3/4" W.

Good period look, easy to use.

I have a home from 1920 with very similar casement latches. I didn't think I'd ever find replacements to match. These are actually better quality than the originals, which were made of steel and have lost all the finish by now.

Good Reproduction Latch

I got this in OB finish. Looks just like the antique latches I have on my other windows, except these were steel and have corroded over time. Like that this latch is brass so it won't rust. Works well and seems like it will hold up.

Never disappointed by Antique Hardware.

Comments:

The latch must be mounted a precise distance from the strike plate in order for the rotating latch to stop in the desired horizontal position within the strike plate's V-shaped hole. Since you want the latch and strike plate to be mounted at the same height it makes the job very difficult but not impossible.

Window latches

Comments:

Quick service, nice product, will use them again. My item was not readily available and I was trying to match latches that were on very old window. Voila Restoration Hardware had them.
