Description

In the early 20th century, stamped brass bin pulls such as this were common in more modest homes throughout America. Our simple reproduction is lightweight, yet sturdy and finished with our exclusive living patina. Slotted screws included.

Dimensions: 3 3/4" W x 1" H. Projection: 11/16". Center to Center: 3 5/16".

Hardware Tip

Stamped: Process of forming brass or other metals by using a thin sheet and pressing or stamping it into a mold. Stamped is the same as pressed or wrought and is thin compared with forged or cast.

Good pull, bad screws

Comments:

The bin pulls are nice, but the install was horrible bc of the screws. The screws provided are very soft and the heads shear off with minimal torque. I drilled pilot holes and hand screwed these in and two screw heads broke off. So now I have two finished drawer fronts with screws embedded in them. I have to buy a screw extractor to fix the problem. Customer service recommended using steel screws to bore the holes first, then use the decorative screws and they did send me new replacement screws. However, because these two screws are the only thing holding the pull to the drawer front and taking all the force from opening the drawers, I would expect the screws to already be the best and not just some decorative dreck.

Sharp edges

Comments:

I liked the look of these pulls, but the edges where sharp and jagged I had to hand file the edges (where you fingers grab to pull). I haven't tried to install it yet but I am nervous about the screws not working....
